Los Angeles based, Mercedes currently works as an Independent Consultant to non-profit organizations bringing a lifetime commitment to the arts, community, and cultural diversity and decades of experience as a marketing executive for major studio and independent film clients.
She was co-founder of OmniWorks Economic Development (a small business incubator for women and minority entrepreneurs), served on the board of the Vincent Price Museum Foundation for 5 years, and served as the Director of Corporate Partnerships at both the Autry Museum of the American West and The Performing Arts Center of Los Angeles County.
As a Latina raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Mercedes’ world view evolved as a result of the vibrant, diverse, arts-rich and social activism of the place and time.
