Luz’s impact extends far beyond her personal achievements. She is an inspiring and nurturing mentor to many artists within the Piece by Piece social enterprise. “Luz will pull the art out of you. She'll get you to believe in yourself. She knows how to engage the community and people o to make them feel like they are part of something creative. I wouldn't be the artist I am if it wasn’t for her teachings, love, and support,” shares June C.

Her expertise in designing mosaics, both large and small, allows participant artists to not only use their skills but also continue learning and exploring new techniques. “Luz’s perfectionism is admirable. She’s an amazing and knowledgeable artist who constantly inspires and pushes us all to create,” says Margarita M.
