La Fire Relief

Honoring Memories Through Art

As a Los Angeles nonprofit, we are heartbroken by the city's staggering loss. As we grieve with our community, we continue doing what we do best—transforming broken pieces into meaningful art. In the wake of devastation, we honor resilience by creating mosaics that preserve cherished memories, incorporating heirlooms, recovered fragments, and personal mementos into one-of-a-kind works of art.

Mosaics That Move People

Hear from those who have experienced the power of personalized mosaic art to inspire and connect.

"Concern Foundation for Cancer Research was proud to commission Piece By Piece to create a very special award for their honorees, The Stanley and Joyce Black Family Foundation at their 49th Annual Block Party on July 13, 2024 on the back lot of Paramount Studios in Hollywood. Each mosaic piece is a double metaphor that represents the work that cancer research scientists have done over the years to piece together a better understanding of cancer, how to diagnose, treat, and ultimately conquer this disease as well as the generosity and support that the Black family Foundation has provided throughout our community to help make our community and our world a better place."

Derek Alpert, Concern Foundation for Cancer Research

"We have given artwork made by Piece by Piece to several of our most distinguished partners as a thank you for their service to us. In each case, the artwork was spectacular and meaningful, for the recipient and for us. Everyone at Piece by Piece is precious. The good work they do in our community is immeasurable."

Dan Rothblatt
Jewish Foundation of Los Angeles

“On behalf of Discover A Star and Universal Studios Hollywood, I’d like to thank you for your continuous support of the Universal Studios Charity Classic by providing custom centerpieces for the event each year. As you may be aware, the Charity Classic serves as the largest fundraiser for Discover A Star and it is always a wonderful opportunity to showcase the work of your artisans. Dawn and team are incredibly helpful with providing us with options and the final product never disappoints! The level of detail and skill for each piece is impeccable!”

Danielle Prado, Director, Community Relations & Team Member Programs
Universal Studios Hollywood

"The entire process was very smooth and my preferences/ideas were fully considered and incorporated as much as possible."

Ivy Panliliio, Esperanza Community Housing Corporation

"Piece by Piece helped us to tangibly see how each of us makes for a better whole. The process left us connected, and the finished product was beyond stunning!"

Chris Ko, United Way
They created the acorns during a private team building workshop and we incorporated them into a larger piece

"Working with Piece by Piece to create a special gift for our honoree was one of the easiest experiences I had planning this Gala. The entire process was smooth, their staff was helpful and informative, and the final piece was INCREDIBLE! (The photos and proofs didn’t do it justice!) I’m amazed at what they can create. Thank you for helping make our vision come to life! It is a very meaningful piece that I know will be cherished for years to come."

Addy Mkawasi, Beit T'Shuvah

"We appreciated the consistent communication throughout the whole process to make sure our pieces were completed in time for honoring our volunteers. We love the thought and design that goes behind the pieces and appreciate the mission driven work."

Tiffany Zhang, AARP

"As always, your frames were such a hit this year! Our award recipients were thrilled to receive such a piece of art."
