This stunning 8" x 10" mosaic portrait was born from a class project where artists had to come up with their colors and design. Artist Sidney remembers "It was a challenge to get human likeness or quality to it." Each piece is carefully chosen to bring this mosaic to life.

Sidney is a dedicated husband and father who found new creative fulfillment through mosaic art at Piece by Piece since 2022. Proud of his artistic accomplishments and the sense of community, he draws inspiration from collaborating with fellow artists and has enhanced his creative repertoire.

Piece by Piece provides no-cost mosaic art workshops to low-income residents of South Los Angeles, Skid Row, and surrounding areas. These classes provide folks who need it with the healing power of art by teaching them how to make mosaics, and in turn, the trade enables them to earn income through their unique creations.

Mosaic is a strong medium and we use a variety of new and recycled pieces to create our works of art. Our artists are trained in using the most professional techniques to ensure quality work. However, in rare occasions, there may be need for a repair. Piece by Piece offers repairs due to material defects on purchased items at no cost for two years from date of sale. For items that have been broken, left outside, or in need of other repairs, we will assess the extent of damage and, if repairs are possible, provide a quote to restore your item. We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
