Tell us about your family.
My family taught me to be the person that I am. They educated me and taught me manners and how to treat every person with respect.
Tell us about past work/school or other meaningful experiences.
Since I was 18, I have worked in sales. I have gotten to know different fields and different markets and have worked on growing my resume.
What is something you are proud of?
I have fulfilled myself with the knowledge of who I am as a person. I have held the lessons of my family by respecting my neighbors as well as society.
When did you first come to Piece by Piece?
I first came to Piece by Piece in Febuary of 2009. I have been here ever since!
How have you grown as a person and artist?
My mother was a manual artists herself. When she would create quilts, she would have me draw the outline before she started her work. I started drawing when I was 8 years old, which has inspired me to be an artist later in life. I continue to create here at Piece by Piece.
What has Piece by Piece and creating mosaics added to your life?
Piece by Piece is a strong organization that gives you the wisdom to stand tall. They taught me that by becoming a part of the community, I would have the opportunities and open doors to create the things that I love.
Who inspires you?
Jesus Christ. I speak with him every moment. He asks me daily to do my best in life and to have strength.
What project have you enjoyed most? And why?
I have no particular favorites. I treat each project equally and love them all the same in my mind, in my heart, and in my soul.
What keeps you coming back to Piece by Piece every week?
The opportunity that was granted to me to come to Piece by Piece has been for a purpose. Piece by Piece has made me realize that I had to give my heart to it and to perform my best.
