Big News! Piece by Piece is Relocating

Piece by Piece will be moving to a new location this October! After nearly 3 years in our current space, our lease, which was generously provided in-kind by Deep Green Housing, has come to an unexpected end. Due to changes in their real estate holdings, they now require the space for their administrative offices. We are deeply grateful to Deep Green Housing for their support over the last few years.

Thanks to the extraordinary help of the Piece by Piece community, we have found a beautiful new space in CRCD's newest building, Marcella Gardens, located right here in South LA. The space is offered to us at below-market rates, and we’re thrilled to begin the next chapter of our journey in this new home.

Our move is scheduled for the week of September 30th, and to accommodate this transition, all classes and social enterprise work will be paused for two weeks. We expect to be operational by mid-October with minimal interruption.

Your dedication to our mission, artists, and mosaics has made everything possible. As we navigate this unexpected transition, including the costs of moving, tenant improvements, and paused operations, we kindly ask for your support, if you are able.

Here’s how you can help:

1. Purchase mosaics from our website before September 30th to reduce the inventory we need to move. Use the discount code "Moving Sale!" to enjoy 20% off all goods.
2. Make a tax-deductible donation to help offset the costs of the move.
3. Encourage friends, family, and business connections to commission or purchase mosaics.
4. Follow us for more updates on Instagram, FaceBook and LinkedIn
5. Share our work on social media to help build awareness.

Keep an eye out for details about our re-opening celebration! We’re excited to invite you to our new space and celebrate this exciting milestone together.

Thank you for your continued support. We couldn’t do it without you!

    Visiting Artist Series: Kelley Knickerbocker

Seattle Mosaic Artist Kelley Knickerbocker visited Piece by Piece in November to teach a special workshop that inspired both creativity and technical skills. With a challenge to use only one material to make an entire piece, participant artists rose to the occasion and had a great time finding new ways to see a single material.
