Black History Month is a time to celebrate the contributions of Black artists to art, culture, and society. At Piece by Piece, we are proud to highlight the resilience, beauty, and innovation of our Black artists, whose mosaics tell powerful stories of perseverance and heritage.
In mid-January 2025, we moved our studio to Marcella Gardens, a brand-new affordable and permanent supportive housing development located at 68th Street and Main Street in South Los Angeles. This move allows us to continue serving the community while expanding opportunities for new participants, including residents of Marcella Gardens and beyond.
At Piece by Piece we believe that creativity and collaboration go hand in hand. Recently, we had the incredible opportunity to lead a team-building mosaic workshop with the Vermont Slauson Economic Development Corporation (VSEDC).
