Meet Our New Team Members!

Earlier this year Piece by Piece moved to a new permanent home in South Los Angeles. In the spring, we also reopened for in-person classes, workshops, and even a gallery show. It is wonderful to see artists and art happening in the Piece by Piece space once again. All of this new activity has been fantastic, and it has also been a lot for our team to manage. As a result of this growth, and with much appreciated support from our funders we have been able to grow to meet the demand for our programs and have added two new team members. We are excited to welcome Tasha Pimentel and Josh Provost as our new Program Assistant and Operations Manager respectively.

Tasha is already getting into the swing of things assisting with classes and workshops to help our amazing instructors. She jumped right in and has been ready to help with anything she is asked to do. You can also find her working with the artists on large-scale commissions, providing a helping hand in our classes, and assisting anywhere she can on the artistic front. Tasha already has a BA in Studio Art and is actively pursuing her Single Subject teaching credential in Art at CSU Long Beach! She is already a passionate artist of many mediums and is excited to work with mosaic and with the community here at Piece by Piece. When she isn’t making incredible works of art, Tasha loves to play Ultimate Frisbee, board games with friends, and adventure whenever she can!

After a decade of living outside of California, Josh is back and excited to be a part of Piece by PIece in the heart of South Los Angeles. He is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Piece by Piece and works with our staff team and artists to ensure they have everything they need to succeed. Josh also helps run our social media, manage volunteers, and in general, wears many hats around the office. Josh’s past experience in customer service, retail management, events, and even as a camp counselor have prepared him for all the unexpected tasks that come his way. Outside of Piece by Piece, Josh enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and spending time with his friends and family.

Piece by Piece Executive Director, Maggie Bohlman said “Everyone at Piece by Piece knew we needed some additional help, and we are so grateful to have found these two creative and energetic individuals who each bring their unique talents to the team. We are all so happy to have Tasha and Josh join the Piece by Piece family!” We hope you will take the time to stop by our space to say hi and welcome our new team members!
