Piece by Piece Focused on COVID Safety!

COVID-19 numbers are on the rise in Los Angeles, and the Piece by Piece team continues to do the all we can to keep all our participants and team safe. We value the ability to come together to create and support each other!

We are so happy to have in-person classes available again after a very long hiatus. We continue to offer online workshops for those who prefer or need to stay remote, and we encourage everyone who is comfortable to attend the workshops offered at our studio in South Los Angeles! We understand COVID makes it a scary time to be out right now, and Piece by Piece has remained vigilant in keeping artists and staff safe while they are with us.

Along with following the county’s guidelines, we have many policies in place to slow the spread of the coronavirus. When anyone enters the space we take their temperature and do a quick health screening. Everyone in the studio is requested to wear a proper face covering at all times while inside the building. With a few exceptions, all staff, artists, and visitors are required to provide verified proof of their COVID-19 vaccination status. Social distancing is encouraged whenever possible, and there are multiple hand sanitizing stations available.

Piece by Piece provides a community for our participants, and it’s very important to us that we keep this community safe and healthy. You can learn more about the Los Angeles County Guidelines here. If you’re interested in signing up for our classes, you can visit our program page here.

We hope to see you soon!

    Visiting Artist Series: Kelley Knickerbocker

Seattle Mosaic Artist Kelley Knickerbocker visited Piece by Piece in November to teach a special workshop that inspired both creativity and technical skills. With a challenge to use only one material to make an entire piece, participant artists rose to the occasion and had a great time finding new ways to see a single material.
