    While not unheard of, you don’t often see mosaics and paint combined into fine art pieces, something Laura and Piece by Piece do together, relying on their respective skills to create something beautiful and unique.

    Piece by Piece Creates Butterflies and Flora Mosaics for Sandy Segal Youth Health Center

    The Piece by Piece artist team recently completed a series of California Native mosaic butterflies for the Dr. Carpenter Memorial Garden, in honor of the late Dr. Sarah Carpenter, who was an inspiration as both a leader and a physician at the Sandy Segal Youth Health Center.

    September Sculpture Workshop

    Teaching artist Julie Williams led the group in the fabrication of the spheres, then shared the techniques unique to working on a 3D surface. Participants developed their own designs and then teaching artist Ellen Dinerman led the group in the mosaic fabrication part of the project.
